Each of the seven Departments attempts to fill a gap identified by The Curator, and each covers a distinct territory with its own unique voice. All of them serve the same mission: making medical knowledge genuinely accessible to everyone willing to engage with it seriously.

Coming Soon to the Society: Vaccine-Preventable Disease

The diseases are not new. The knowledge about them has been deliberately interrupted. Nearly half of the CDC's regularly updated public health databases were paused without explanation beginning in early 2025, and the pauses were skewed heavily toward databases tracking vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases.

A study showing COVID-19 vaccines reduced emergency department visits and hospitalizations by approximately 50 percent cleared the CDC's internal scientific review process — and was then pulled from publication entirely. Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), which had been published without interruption for 65 years, missed two consecutive issues after the administration ordered a pause on all external communications.

Six routine childhood vaccines have been removed from universal recommendation, narrowing the schedule from 17 to 11. The American Academy of Pediatrics released its own competing childhood immunization schedule in November. This is the first time in history it has had to do so.

Meanwhile, measles outbreaks are active in South Carolina, Utah, and across the Americas. The United States is on track to exceed its 2025 case count. Canada lost its measles elimination status. Six European countries, including the United Kingdom, lost theirs in January 2026.

The Society will cover vaccine-preventable diseases, including what these diseases are, what the suppressed data showed, what the current outbreak landscape looks like, and what the evidence says about the tools we have to address them. The receipts will be included.
